The battery can be locked in place using the included key and takes just 5 hours to achieve a full recharge (with a battery lifespan of at least 800 recharges). The 250-watt motor and 36-volt battery help the bike to travel up to 25 miles on a single battery charge, with an average cruising speed of 10 miles per hour (and a top speed of 15 miles per hour).

The ModWheel Complete Commuter Wheel Kit includes a simple electronic controller (with a handy storage bag), plus an LCD speedometer for tracking current speed. The controller has a thumb throttle connection for instant power from the motor, plus Pedelec programming. The Pedelec enables riders to pedal comfortably (so you can still benefit from regular exercise) while the electric motor provides additional power so you don’t have to work quite as hard.
